Windsor, located north of the Brisbane CBD, was constituted as a town in 1903, having previously been part of the Toombul Shire. Its name, like many others, reflected the aspirations of its early settlers. Windsor's history is characterised by its transformation from an outer-lying area to a bustling residential and commercial hub. Its elevation offered commanding views, making it a desirable place for residences, and its proximity to the city ensured its continued growth.
